i agree and continue to believe that discomfort and desperation can be productive (though usually only if designed mindfully) — so our inclination to always make things more comfortable, predictable, convenient is sort of stealthily self-defeating also: https://productivediscomfort.org/

🙏🙏 🙏 the mechanism i discovered in field research (wrote about it in the book) the specific prompts and delivery format of idk was a combo of self-test/test on people i consulted for + remembering the eno/schmidt oblique strategies
