We talked about the implications of overloading the word “risk” + appropriating the word “uncertainty.” 1/4

Our fondness for these loose usages seem connected to our bodily responses to not-knowing (the fight-or-flight reaction) and they reinforce our inherent reluctance to be in situations of not-knowing. 2/4

These loose usages blind us to the many diff. types of not-knowing that exist, and from developing good relationships with them. Especially, they obstruct us from exploring 1) ways of taking action despite not-knowing, 2) ways to become more comfortable with not-knowing. 3/4
