It's not about decentralization. It's about sessions and bring more centralized apps to the ecosystem. 

Great example is implementation of account abstraction in Tweed(paytweed.com). They allow users to create self-custody wallets with auto backup of their seed phrase encryption to the Google Drive, so user never lose
