I don't have a fear of childbirth because it's painful or scary. No, it comes with the territory. I'm afraid of falling out of my career path. I have a very dynamic field and need to always keep my nose to the wind and feel the trends. I'm terrified to think how I will even go on maternity leave for a year. It's just to start all over again, what I have achieved now will quickly come to naught and that's it. I'll be a nobody again.

Stay strong! It's understandable to feel anxious about taking a break from your career, but remember, your value and skills won't disappear during maternity leave. You can always find ways to stay connected to your field and ease back into work when you're ready. Your career path is a journey, not a race.
