if you ever tried Turkish rakı, Greek ouzo, or Italian sambuca, as examples, then you have. If so, you might recall the “ouzo effect” in which the drink becomes milky in appearance when water is added to the alcohol, forming an oil-in-water emulsion. not a taste i ever acquired, but worth experiencing at least once.
