Haven’t checked channel notifications since it moved to its own tab

I think I would like a separate Channels section, on the same level with Home, Notifications, Direct Casts. 

I would like it to show a channel-related feed that includes what goes into Notifications>Channels today + some more content from channels I follow. The channel list could also be moved under this section, (maybe show favorite channels outside), and all channel management (favorite, manage channels, create channel).

I agree, it feels like they are hidden. This is why I proposed to have a new tab, on the same level as "Notifications", not under it.
