Probably half of Solana's success is how easy and intuitive it is to swap in the Phantom app, with those big unbashful green or red pnl numbers right up top, contrasted against the darkmode background.  Dopamine sloshing everywhere.

Solana has been a source of frustration for me. I really don't get why people think it's "friendlier to ne users", everything seems harder to do and even harder to understand. But obviously, most people don't agree with me.

I think those that say this really just mean it's cheap to transact when compared with other L1s, which is true. 

Of course, you have to do a lot of mental gymnastics to ignore the rise of equally cheap L2s; but I suppose to be fair this has been a relatively recent phenomenon.

Id say 50% of their success was SBF onboarding people with marketing. Other 50% are now VCs with big bags trying to set an agenda by:
- Incentivising podcasts to mention sol
- Run large amount of CT bots
- Run capital into memecoins to fuel mania

In the end all these things are unsustainable. Sol founders also need to stop gaslighting otherwise the platform will not be viewed as credibly neutral.

I get it they try to catch up with Ethereum, fake it till you make it. But walking on very thin ice.
