Decentralization is like insurance. You pay it forever, and you only appreciate it when shit hits the fan.

we appear to be a smaller and smaller group of loud-mouthed decentralization advocates. Not even decentralization for decentralization's sake, but for specific practical values. The algo removed my own reply in a channel I "own", without any apparent way to restore it. In this one point in time, when Content Filter met "your channel, your rules", the filter won. The behavior has since been changed, quietly and without acknowledgement AFAICT. Has anybody else had similar experiences? Separately, I'm sure you guys have seen the same thing I have seen -- benign changes to historical casts on Hubs (i.e., url rewrites). If anyone wants to compare notes, my DMs are open.

Can you be more specific? I don't care about the algorithm, that's Warpcast's thing, it is supposed to work the way WC wants. But the changes to historical data seems very weird. Pls share an example!

imgur embeds in old casts now point to different cdn's. tbc I consider this benign, not a smoking gun. Am more interested to find ppl with technical ability + will to bark as watchdogs. I consider overlooked promises on Warpcast to signal priorities for the protocol, as well as the developer ecosystem
