This is a very superficial take. There are many reports indicating that freedom of speech has been limited in the US post-9/11.

Not to mention that the First Amendment was there during the Red Scare and McCarthyism. What I’m trying to say is that we should all be vigilant and not downgrade it to a superficial us vs them contest.
