I'll go first! I jumped into crypto when my roommate came home after having a huge shouting match with a Stanford econ professor in the middle of Stanford campus.  Professor was ridiculing him that Bitcoin and Ethereum would never amount to anything.  I've lost plenty of money, and made even more amazing friends!
