βͺοΈβ«οΈ β 22 #monochrome-monday #mono π€ In the midst of the current market turmoil, some distraction is sorely needed. Time to explore and learn about NET ART. It's actually an art *genre* that started as soon as artists realized they could leverage the possibilities of the internet and the underlying tech to create novel forms of artistic expression, distribution and storytelling. π€ We don't have to take a narrow view for the event today, you can share anything you consider *internet art* in the wider sense. But be sure to mention the artist! Add #mono or #monochrome-monday *tags*. Let's celebrate art today and forget about the markets for a moment! π Not gonna stop, a new art channel each week, today on /net-art. Much of the original *net art* is actually lost, the websites are no longer accessible, and it is somewhat difficult to convey the artwork only as an image. But the ideas live on and I would argue that anything created with native internet technologies in the browser could still be called *net art*. In this respect, a large part of generative art, which is mostly created live in the browser. Looking forward to what you're going to share! π€
