I sent those instructions by DM to some, but there are many more submitting the traits incorrectly, so let me share this here for all. (using an old submission for reference) If your trait shows up like this in the gallery page, with all Nouns in that top right section looking very much alike each other, you messed it up. It means you submitted the artwork of the full Noun instead of submitting the trait

This is what a correct submission looks like: the preview Nouns in the top right block display your trait, plus an assortment of random other traits (body, accessory, noggles) and if you hover over the top right icon on the main card, it should display only the artwork of your trait with a transparent background (this is the image you should have submitted)

You're probably mixing it up when exporting from Noundry Studio. instead of clicking the save icon just below the preview on the right, you have to go to the menu of the trait you're working at and click export right there

also, make sure you export it at x1 scale, dragging the slider all the way to the left before clicking export that will get you the right image to submit, with a transparent background

you have to fix your submissions on the gallery (delete and resubmit), or else they'll be disqualified according to the round rules. hit me up if you still have trouble getting it right.

The submission is correct, but the art style does not match that of Nouns. If you want to increase your odds in the contest, you should get rid of black outlines and try to match the style of existing traits. The lower right block on the gallery exists for that reason. It showcases your trait alongside existing traits from Nouns. If you click that Noun icon on the bottom right you can even toggle to show only the trait you submitted. If you do that, you can compare it to other traits of the collection and you'll see how it clashes with the rest of the collection. No other trait has black outlines, and they usually avoid too much black altogether.
