I've spent most of the week revisiting the Mike Keneally catalog. I love Hat, it was the first album I got from him. I used to listen to him and Beer for Dolphins a lot back in the day and I've been trying to catch up with the new music I've missed.

I pulled up Mike Keneally on Spotify and listened to the top song "I'm Raining Here, Inside". About half way through I thought "I like this, it reminds me of XTC". Then I looked up the album and saw "Songs Written by Mike Keneally & Andy Partridge". Then I thought "Damn, I'm good." 🤣 🤣 🤣

Yeah, Mike is a huge XTC fan. I don’t know why he is still so unknown: he played with Frank Zappa on the last live band he had. He has played guitar on some of the James Labrie albums, he played on tour with Steve Vai for a couple years, he has played guitar also for the cartoon Metalapocalypse, he played with Dweezil Zappa in the band Z and most recently he has played with Devin Townsend.
