I also joined because of the interest in the decentralization part, but got engaged only after frames and other open warpcast specific features, then retained by the friends made along the way.

Personally I think mini apps can help grow FC more than new protocol features. Both are necessary long term but I think one is more useful right now

FIBA rules were way more interesting to watch this year, and that’s with a number of talented teams. Not sure exactly what rules are different but more allowed physicality has to be a factor

Good take, memecoins and nfts have their pros/cons. “We'll see memecoins gaining momentum, then community members (or the project runner) creating canonical NFTs which the community uses as PFPs.” I think Higher did this as well, what do you think were the learnings if any?

imo the only thing that could create a #3 is FHE and maybe more ZK. Otherwise I think you're right Have you seen any good persistent worlds?

Personally I still see that as optional. Ballframe was a small scale game but I was genuinely surprised how many people were willing to pay to get their score on a leaderboard. That being said trading/economies is a natural extension for crypto, I just think (maybe hope) that it's not the only one

My criteria for fun farcaster games that I've been brainstorming: - something social that takes advantage of notifications and open social graph - can be played asynchronously, scaling to an infinite number of players - easy to understand (ideally familiar) - free to play with optional onchain mechanics that heighten gameplay
