LLMs tend to be guilty of heavy confirmation bias, trying to go along with what you say. To get around this, I use this prompt when I get stuck: Can you summarize what I'm trying to do, then explain to me a better structure to achieve it? I want to follow best practice and this doesn't feel like it is.

One other thing that helps, is explicitly asking it to reason if there are any arguments in favour of the opposing viewpoint
