I 100% believe in the concept of a network state, but also believe that more likely than not it won't happen during my lifetime

It's a combination of things, both technical and non-technical - Probably solved in the next 1-2 decades category: 1) blockchains fully ready (UX, security, scalability, social acceptance) 2) DAO structures that work (we are in the right direction but most DAOs are still in toy mode)

My family doesnβt live in a network state nor does it want to uproot its life from its existing community. And I donβt want to be too distant from my parents. Though, Iβd love to do Zuzalu style stays.

I believe it's 100% non-technical. We need a brave leader (who already has a huge following) going all in on the hardest tasks. One of the hardest tasks is getting international recognition of sovereignty. Maybe getting a piece of land is a pre-requirement for this, but that seems a bit more easy (ICO fundraising).
