What was the main reason for choosing FFG in the end? Is it what you alluded to at the end - despite the better theoretical properties of CBC, FFG was the easier implementation?

Feels like most of the research these days has moved on to rollups and zk related topics. Do you feel there is still room for exploration on proof of stake and other consensus mechanism design?

can you talk more about the process of giving up on consensus-by-bet? was there a discreet moment or conversation where it went from possibility to illogical?

Do you believe there is any theoretical objective consensus or everything is just relatively subjective? (referring to the example you gave about trust assumptions to learn about consensus even in PoW systems or upgrades)
