Given that pi has double the amount of legs as tau, shouldn't they swap their values so that `π = τ * 2`? 🙃

No, because the "legs" are actually roman numbers under (ie. in the denominator position of) the fraction symbol, with an implied full circle at the top. Hence τ is a full circle, π is half a circle, etc.
