in the US everything will soon be politically gendered crypto, working out, hashbrowns: maga kayaking, therapy, oatmilk: libtard your political affiliation will depend on your preference percentage, i.e. you can still be a libtard and have hashbrowns(maga) as long as you wash it down with plenty of oatmilk(libtard)

I feel like working out has been quietly politicized for a while π€£ Basically, running = blue, weightlifting = red. (There's definitely lots people who break the stereotype in both directions, but it's still a strong pattern, would love to see someone try to get stats on it)

I found https://www.businessinsider.com/politics-sports-you-like-2013-3 but it mentions neither running nor lifting. Also https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/mar/06/fascist-fitness-how-the-far-right-is-recruiting-with-online-gym-groups kinda confirms one side but it reads too much like a hit piece for my taste
