Vitalik Buterin said that the Ethereum Foundation (EF) is considering staking 269,000 ETH (worth nearly 1 billion USD) to generate revenue, expected to bring in 26.2 million USD per year with a yield of 2.95%. However, this number is still not enough to offset operating costs of 134.7 million USD in 2023. Vitalik Buterin also proposed a reshuffle of EF leadership to increase expertise, improve communication with the community and attract new talent.
