What are your thoughts on it? I've eaten it at Malnati's, when I was in Chi-town. I don't understand the NY/NJ pizza vs. deep dish comparison. They are not the same thing and should be in 2 separate categories.

As a bit of a pizza buff itβs not my fave only for how itβs layered. I did like the chunky Roma sauce. Just not on top

Yeah, same here. What are your thoughts on it being classified as pizza? I feel like it is more like a pie than pizza. I know pizza pie is a term used often to describe pizza, but they should differentiate pizza from pizza pie.

Pizza to me is a dough some sauce and toppings. White pizza (oil, tomato, peppers) is still pizza to me so the pie thing can be too π€·ββοΈ

Now that you bring in the white pizza point, I understand where you are coming from. My thoughts were that the crusts are so different. Deep dish crust normally is made with high fat content, so it is more dense and thick to hold the ingredients, and NY style pizza is so thin and airy. It makes me think they are not in the same category, but you make a good point.
