Tether just invested 102 million USD in agricultural corporation Adecoagro in South America, accounting for 9.8% of the shares. This is a step to diversify Tether's investment portfolio, besides investments in Bitcoin and gold. The company believes that land is an "important asset" with long-term value, especially in the context of political instability. The move follows Tether's record profit of $5.2 billion in the first half of 2024.
