an alternative ✨proactive✨ approach:

proactive requires work on "filling credibility gap" for builder and evaluation-via-weak-signals for supporter.

most people want the easier/safer option.

hence:
retroactive is donation/purchase
proactive is investment

its definitely not a guarantee of future success, but not sure i'd call it 'weak'. granted, a prototype on staging would be even better

everytime a builder ships, signal gets stronger. So this is a blocker for new builders, not so much for experienced builders
