HBO claims Peter Todd is Satoshi Nakamoto, but the evidence is questionable
On Tuesday, the documentary "Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery" named Canadian developer Peter Todd as Satoshi Nakamoto - the mysterious creator of bitcoin. 
However, the evidence presented by filmmaker Cullen Hoback is unlikely to convince those who have spent years analyzing the trail left by Nakamoto, who disappeared in 2011.
Todd himself has called the claim "absurd." The movie cites an episode from a bitcoin forum where Todd allegedly accidentally continued a thought on behalf of Nakamoto using his account.
While the film offers a number of hints, including coincidences in the timeline of Todd's posts and activity on the forums, many crypto experts remain skeptical of this theory.
