have heard from a few people off the record that they don’t do this for legal reasons

there is substantial onchain revenue and sophisticated enough DAO voting blocs to get this done otherwise

if it's possible onchain and there's enough incentive alignment it will happen. don't think reg clarity will allow/prevent this from happening, haven't found the right ingredients that competes with pump/attention game
