Totally agree Vanessa! If engagement is the sole metric, it could indeed favor already popular accounts or meme-centric content over art. Hopefully, the platform will recognize this and implement measures to ensure a fairer distribution—maybe by factoring in originality, quality, or diversity of content as well. Artists deserve a level playing field to shine!

I predict the same handful of accounts will receive the reward each week. It’s based solely on engagement so that means the same few popular accounts will move a few spots up or down each week but almost all the rewards will go to them. Also much more likely to be meme casters than artists.

Indeed! Most OG's of the platform aren't artists and those have the biggest advantage on this matter. Although dwr said the algo will work on a different way to prevent it!

this is indeed exciting, I don't how many of these top tier users are going to be artists tho, we will see I guess 🥰  Still, definitely feel like Warpcast is the place to be, that's for sure

I dont think "top scoring" is fair... same people as always will take the money. Its the same with contests depending on likes... its more a popularity contest rather than something fair for all
