I really dislike the conflation of “human equivalent” and “general” and their interchangeable use as adjectives for intelligence but I may have to give up that battle. Not a hill worth dying on. Call it AGI and confuse yourself if you want.

- Mathematical generality (universal as in turing machines and function approximators)

- general as in Heinlein “specialization is for insects” quote

- general as in omniscience/omnipotent like a god

Sloppy AI supremacists use extrapolation based on 1 and 2 to conclude 3. It’s a flat-earth type inference.
