One of my main disagreements with the For You page going subscribers only is this - I loved seeing recommended tweets on there that was a consequence of the people I follow/my mutuals interacting with missing edges on my social graph. Not everyone in my social circle/adjacent to it are going to pay. It is less useful.

Hope you're all staying warm. Here's a fun prediction going into the new year. There will be no new trillion dollar company in the next 8 years. This isn't because of the current economy. I think it'll be because of how dependent every upstart is with big tech.

I'd start with Saitek. It's a standard PPL student pilot sim. A low barrier to enter sim is Microsoft flight sim if you have a PC.

Started tracking sleep with my apple watch. It's been very motivating. Getting to see objectively that I've had a good night's sleep puts me in a better mood even if I wake up a little grumpy.

Preempt FOMO by delegating your meetings to other trusted lieutenants. Build a habit of taking meetings only with an agenda and enforce the habit of getting meeting notes sent. These will almost immediately relieve you of several meeting commitments.

Sony has released the GTA trilogy for PS 5. I'm replaying GTA 3. Will move on to Vice City and San Andreas eventually. I can't help but imagine how massive open world games would be fantastic immersive experiences if done right in VR.

Healthy skepticism in tech is a great driver of product refinements. Very few people have it. Majority are cynical for the sake of it. It's hard to build anything disruptive when you lack the former and are filled with the latter.
