Former Marathon reboot director Chris Barrett was reportedly fired by Bungie earlier this year following an internal investigation into inappropriate behaviour against female colleagues. This is according to Bloomberg, which spoke with at least eight women from the studio who claimed Barrett sent them "a barrage of text messages that blurred the lines between professional and personal."

Blizzard Entertainment has rolled out a new hotfix 1.5.1 for Diablo 4 Season 5, addressing critical issues that were impacting gameplay. The update specifically addresses unintended damage inflicted by some enemies, ensuring a more balanced and fair experience for Diablo 4 players. Season 5 of Diablo 4, titled Season of the Infernal Hordes, was released on August 6, introducing new content, numerous bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements. However, the season has faced several issues, notably concerning the excessive damage dealt by some enemies, with the Desecrator being a prime example. A Reddit post highlighted this issue by describing how the Desecrator's damage output was disproportionately high compared to other bosses. Even well-equipped characters with strong health and defensive stats were often defeated by a single attack from the Desecrator. This prompted many players to voice similar frustrations in the comments, calling for adjustments to the Desecrator's damage.

Valve has revealed Deadlock, its latest game that combines elements of several popular multiplayer genres. Its announcement arrived without much fanfare, following a long string of comprehensive leaks about Valve's upcoming title. Deadlock has been Valve's worst-kept secret since May 2024, when the company launched its invite-only alpha via Steam. Everyone who got into the test was first greeted with a screen asking them not to share "anything about the game with anyone." But seeing how all testers got an unlimited number of invites, it did not take long for Deadlock to start leaking all over.
