If you're somewhat new to Farcaster, I highly recommend reading the documentation about the protocol, especially the concept of sufficient decentralization.

Unlike other blockchain based social networks, not everything is onchain.

Your identity/profile, your social graph (followers/following) and your casts are part of the Farcaster protocol and live within hubs.   

Your FID (and ENS if you attached it) are onchain.

The ultimate test for Farcaster for achieving sufficient decentralization is "if two users can find each other and communicate, even if the rest of the network wants to prevent it."
