This photo provided by the Anne Frank House Museum in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It shows Anne Frank hiding from the German occupiers in August 1944 with her family and others. All were later captured and sent to prisons and concentration camps. Anne died of typhus in "Bergen-Belsen" (a Nazi concentration camp in the state of Lower Saxony, located a mile from the village of Belsen and a few miles southwest of the city of Bergen) at the age of 15. After the posthumous publication of her diary, Frank became a symbol for all Jews killed during World War II.
