Objectively something is not working and obviously pusillanimous people are taking advantage of it as soon as they can.

When money is involved you can be sure every method is going to be exhausted to abuse the system. Only community that I was part of that nearly combatted this was r/cc. But the rules got so tight that the place became unenjoyable and insufferable.

It is quite hard to fix this problem.

Exactly, the problem is probably at the cultural and educational level, which is why it is very difficult to eradicate or change.

We just crave "easy" money. We crave it so much some people are down to post day and night.
