SIWF feels very hit-and-miss lately. took me three attempts to scan>sign in successfully on /buoy and i am writing this cast after an unsuccessful third attempt signing in to /amp

fifth time’s the charm for /amp 

still pretty inconvenient though as i have to scan the qr repeatedly and go through 3 steps, 5 times just to sign in.

yeah i was doing random things like “clear cookies and refresh” and retrying the whole thing. not sure if THAT worked but something worked out eventually

yeah people have reached out to me about the same thing, multiple fails and then when they restarted everything it finally worked

It’s been this way for the past 4 months.

There’s some race condition in polling for a QR code response. I haven’t debugged deeply even though it’s very frequent (1/3 fail id say).

Always assumed it was because I’m in Asia so never reported

scanning the QR isn’t the issue. it goes through, i open warpcast and sign in but the qr on the client page doesnt go away

I use Google Lens - works like a charm. My camera app cannot recognise the QR code at al (Android)

thanks. two things going on: 1) @jtgi @veekay and @stephancill all have high latency from their locations. we open the channel on page load, which is probably causing this. will fix this one. 2) general hub instability has caused more timeouts over the last week or so. we hit a hub to get verified addresses.

Also had this issue. There’s a race condition that starts when the sign in with farcaster button component loads which sometimes causes it to not start polling the warpcast relay for the sign in result as far as I can tell
