Google has ordered seven nuclear reactors to operate its artificial intelligence infrastructure The technology giant made a historic deal by ordering seven small modular reactors (MMP) from Kairos Power from California. Google plans to use these reactors to provide energy to the growing AI infrastructure. It is also important that the energy source is round-the-clock and low-carbon, which will avoid problems with environmental pollution. The location of the new reactors and the financial terms of the transaction have not yet been disclosed. Google will purchase a total of 500 megawatts of electricity from Kairos. It is expected that the construction of the reactors will be completed by 2035.
