Ethereum is about to upgrade Pectra (tested on Holesky 24/2 and Sepolia 5/3) before the expected mainnet deployment in April. Pectra is divided into two phases: - The first part (2025) upgrades staking (EIP-7251), wallet experience (EIP-7702) and deposit/withdrawal time for validators. - The second part (Fusaka, 2026) adds EVM Object Format and PeerDAS, which increases performance and security. Ethereum node operators need to update to the new client, while ETH users do not need to do anything.

🇭🇰 Hong Kong accepts BTC & ETH as assets for investment visa application for the first time $BTC and $ETH have just been accepted by the Hong Kong government as proof of assets when applying for an investment visa. Currently, more than 750 people have registered. This is a type of Visa issued to foreigners coming to Hong Kong to carry out investment activities according to the law. 1️⃣ Applicants must own at least 30 million HKD (~3.8 million USD) in assets, which can be used to prove BTC & ETH. 2️⃣ After proving assets, applicants must invest an additional 30 million HKD in other accepted assets such as stocks, bonds or real estate to complete the visa application process.

Solana continues to dominate DEX volume, reaching over $60 million this month, nearly double Ethereum’s $34 million. Since October, Solana has consistently outperformed DEX volume, most notably in January 2025 with $258 billion, compared to Ethereum’s $86 billion.
