Art is not freedom from discipline, but disciplined freedom.ā€ – John F. Kennedy The 35th U.S. President, Kennedy, reminds us that the freedom to create is not without structure or discipline. Artists must work within the bounds of their chosen medium, their own skill set, and societal expectations, turning these constraints into a symphony of expression.

Lore question, why are there Hyperlanes? How were they created I am aware that there will never exactly be any true or canonical answer to this question. I am more just looking for interesting answers, why can't empires ever make new hyperlanes in the lore? Where did they come from? I ask because I am running a tabletop RPG using Stars Without Number and while it is convenient for doing a point crawl in the stars. I wanted a lore explanation that is interesting. I reason that they might be made with some sort of hyperlane drill that someone created in antiquity but that the drill can only ever create them by traveling between stars in real space, limited by light speed and relativity, so building a new hyperlane would take many many decades or even a whole century, much like a megastructure except there is just no way to rush it

In art, what is dominance? While the concept of equality is desirable in culture and between people in general, that is certainly NOT the case in art or design! Dominance in art is the clear prevalence of a single element in the overall design. First, though, a quick primer on what is an element in art. An element, often called a design element, is a characteristic or trait. Some main elements of design are: Value (light to dark) Line Shape Form Color Texture Space Balance Contrast Repetition Harmony / unity Much can be said about these elements , but here is a brief example of a work which has a predominance in one of these elements:

Is art powerful or is the power contained in the thoughts it represents? I find the most power a painting or work of non verbal art can have is in the questions it inspires. The thoughts it conjures, I would describe them as. Art can be powerful for many reasons if you know which language it is portrayed in. A beautiful still life of a vase of flowers is pretty until someone points out they are all poisonous plants. That's where the power can be found. Or stopping in front at a monster sized canvas with a postage stamp in a corner and saying ' what the fuck is that all about. ' or a pile of bricks or a photograph of a mushroom or mushroom cloud etc. The power is with the reader. The power is in choosing the language you read with. Or simply the time taken to notice it. Who is portrayed as an empty skin in the Sistine chapel ceiling. And what the heck was Jackson Pollack drinking ?

Hello r/ethereum - I'm currently in Singapore exploring all of the cool blockchain tech that's going on here. I'm also writing a blog that aims to explain blockchain technology simply to anyone whose interested. www.cryptoambit.com If you guys could spot check my Ethereum post for accuracy, I'd appreciate it. If you like it, would also appreciate some subscribers! Thanks By now, most people know Ethereum as the second most valuable cryptocurrency, currently valued at over $60 billion dollars. Well, it turns out that Ethereum isn't actually a cryptocurrency - it's a software platform that let's programmers build applications on top of blockchain technology. Within the ethereum platform, is a cryptocurrency called ether that is used to power applications built on the Ethereum blockchain.

This isn't a FUD question and I'm not having a go. I genuinely do not understand why anyone uses erc20 for anything. I've only been in crypto for a couple years but I've never managed to understand why this network is used for anything. The gas fees are insane compared to every other network. There are times during congestion where there's no point of buying anything because you need to make a $200 profit just to break even. Can someone explain to me why you use eth. I get HODLing it, but transferring or buying with it seems like a terrible idea?

What is Kinto (K)? Kinto is a Modular Exchange (MEX) platform designed to deliver optimal DeFi experiences by combining traditional finance’s security and compliance standards with blockchain’s decentralized nature. At its core, Kinto introduces a non-custodial smart wallet, robust compliance layers, and a chain abstraction mechanism to streamline cross-chain interactions and simplify crypto transactions. The platform’s native token, K, serves as a governance and utility token, allowing community members and investors to actively shape Kinto’s future.

It's disheartening to see people losing interest in art, adopting a nonchalant attitude towards its value. They think art is stagnant, but the truth is: ART IS LIFE. It's vibrant, dynamic, and essential to human expression.
