i walked almost 20 miles in manhattan yesterday & i must say, the city feels homogeneously bad 

the ENTIRE city felt like a penn state frat party; like there were girls picnicking in tompkins sq in dior & st. marks looked like newport

St. Marks and Tompkins Sq aren't very diverse from each other.

Have you been to J Hood Wright? Hamilton Bridge Skate Park? High Bridge? All 3 are maybe a mile apart total, all attractions in their own right.

Walk 20 miles around the top 3rd of the island & see how it feels.
