Are we the only ones with a grandmother like that? My husband's mother, in all the five years of our marriage, has never once taken care of two grandchildren. She comes to visit us rarely, gives presents to the children. If we go to her, she does not follow and watch them, but asks us to do it!
I want to have a vacation while visiting, not to watch the children, I have enough of that at home. The kids go to day care. But when they are sick or weekends I just want to relax with my husband.
