The morning sessions of the #WorldComputerDay were packed with big ideas: š” Regulation is not the enemy of tech. The reality is that regulation exists and it serves a purpose against bad actors. š” Technology can support the goals of regulation, while regulation should be technology-agnostic. š”Switzerlandās approach to digital assets regulations represents an extremely powerful way of balancing innovation and user protections. š” Bad regulation can be really detrimental to innovation, and good regulation can incentivize functioning markets. š” Central Banks have not traditionally been involved with innovation. But thereās a risk of inaction as well, so Central Banks are embracing innovation to see how technology can help them do their jobs better. š” We can build a far more inclusive and intelligent democracy than what we have currently by using technology well. š” Self-policing doesnāt work, especially in deep tech where the tech will always be faster than the law.
