He's obviously a regime filmmaker and the Fajr Festival is just an ideology propaganda for inside the country. Iranian cinema is known by Asghar Farhadi, Jafar Panahi, Abbas Kiarostami (rip), Mohammad Rasoulof, and many others which all of them have migrated or are inactive perforce inside the country.
