animated pfps have really low utility but a big group of users love them. our approach was to sunset them at some point (mistake!), but wanted to get input. static pfps are less relevant today because of the feed aesthetics, while animated boost your casts and brings a better version of yourself.

The only issue with animated PFPs is that it will make the platform slower for people with older devices
