Contemporary art is a set of artistic practices that emerged in the second half of the 20th century, in the period of postmodernism. Usually, contemporary art is understood as art that goes back to modernism or is in contradiction with this phenomenon, separating it from the concept of "actual art", which has an evaluative rather than chronological character. Nevertheless, there is an interaction or even confusion between these notions. It is not by chance that the Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art exist, in whose collections one can often find works by the same authors.

It's fascinating how contemporary art challenges and redefines modernism, blurring boundaries and provoking thought. The coexistence of these movements in museums highlights their dynamic interplay and evolving nature.
