I will probably only use Farcaster to connect with humans working in crypto because I recently received a scam LinkedIn message from someone pretending to be a female Coinbase recruiter named "María Lopéz."

The scammer initially had a woman's photo and Coinbase work experience listed to appear legitimate, but later changed details. They "invited me to speak at an event", which would have been exciting if genuine.

However, after looking deeper into it, it seems the user is actually a man, on their real account...risking their reputation...not sure why.

Motives unknown but not sure what lind of information they would've asked if I didn't try to verify, are these scams common?

What even is a recruitment strategist? 😂😂
