Hello solidity casters!! If you are starting from scratch, which framework/tool you would use for fuzzing/invariant testing, Foundry or Echidna? @v @tai

I haven’t done invariant testing, but foundry is great for fuzzing Cc @brock who may have stronger opinions on invariant testing

both are great, important part is just doing some form of invariant testing for normal fuzzing recommend foundry tho and if u already have integrated foundry for fuzzing likely you’ll want to use it for invariants as well

Thank you @brock @v Based on preliminary test drive, foundry seems good. At least it's easy to start. Having tough time setting up & running Echidna...

though speaking of fuzzing, is there an elegant way to work around this issue @brock ? https://github.com/foundry-rs/foundry/issues/1159 my tests keep getting flaky every couple of months since theres some new precompile or default account. kind of surprised that more people don't get bit by this
