Redirect feels more lucrative because you can have code executed before the redirect, that would not be possible if you do payload for external website.

what code are you referring to? in both cases, the client has the opportunity to intercept the first URL and run any checks it wants.

For example I want to redirect user to Uniswap after clicking “Buy” button. In case of payload there will be a need anyway to use 302 redirect if I want to record clicking or adjust parameters of URL on a fly.
