The difference in running a round on /base-builds pre and post update is night and day. I was spending about 5+ hours every weekend fighting spammers and low effort grifters. All that is gone. 

Incredibly happy with the update and excited to get rounds closer to a buttery smooth experience.

membership channels have a lot of tradeoffs, but the big upside that i'm excited about is how much easier its going to be to run a large community.

if you really want to invite everyone, just use an invite link? 

telegram has the same invite mechanisms and has large communities.

genuine question: how is it easier for large communities if you need to manually invite people or come up with some gating that creates friction to join?

base-builds

It cut off everyone who had been posting and gaining traction for months. I hope it eases up. I had been over looked for the past 2 weeks but participating and earning for 3 months. Now I cannot even access it and am getting ghosted trying to reach out to post in /base-builds. It's crushing.

Selected members however, right now, most of the posts goes to main feed of that channel, resulting in showing more spam and not related posts.
