FIP: Location in user profiles We plan to release a new hubble version and broadcast location info on Friday. We need to min versions hubs on Friday to make this work. If you have a custom hub setup with auto-upgrades disabled and will not be able to upgrade by Friday, please let us know asap.

Why is a min version necessary? While the change is backwards compatible, hubs that are not upgraded may have delays in fetching the data that was sent before they upgraded. A min version would ensure that the feature ships quickly and everyone gets the data. We know that most hubs are on the auto-upgrade path and are excited about getting this data, so it seems like the right bet to make.

What will happen to Warpcast Location APIs? We will maintain them for some time, and eventually deprecate them in favor of just using hubs. We expect teams like @neynar to offer this data over APIs for everyone on the network.

No more google location's placeId 😭 was using Google Autocomplete + pulling location from fc, and saving the placeId. I guess I'll just store Lat & Long now, and store the placeId only if they set it themself
