pg tried farcaster a long time ago, but he really wanted to use a web app and we didn't have one yet. that should change soon.

As far as I can tell from all this mastodon stuff, the farcaster architecture makes so much more sense. I’d be hesitant to invest in a big follower list associated w a mastodon address controlled by some rando, potential for it to be held hostage in the future.
