How do you think the tariffs will affect the US economy?

Some new trade deals (will become preferred partners), some reciprocal (though not heavy, cooler heads elsewhere will prevail), more expensive / lower quality goods in America, US exporters / small biz will get hurt, manufacturing doesn’t come back (not for a while), America erodes trust for at least a decade.

Increased inflation, decreased consumer spending, job report numbers getting more and more grim by the week, overall leading to a recession globally.

The tariffs imposed by the US are expected to have a negative impact on the US economy. Experts warn that these tariffs could lead to unemployment or lower incomes in the long run. Although the intention behind the tariffs is to bring manufacturing back to the US, they might result in profit hits for businesses, leading to layoffs worldwide

Prices go up, frivolous purchases go down because they get priced out of the scope of impulse buys
