Circle, an issuer of USDC and EURC, has been registered as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) in France, becoming the first global stablecoin issuer to comply with the European Union's MiCA regulatory framework. MiCA, which was approved by the European Union last year, is the first comprehensive global law that specifically regulates how cryptocurrency companies operate.
